Attribute enhancers
There are five different groups of attribute implants to boost the five respective character attributes of Intelligence, Perception, Charisma, Willpower and Memory. Each attribute implant increases the corresponding attribute by a number of points ranging from 1 to 5. While attribute enhancers with stronger effects exist, they are not available in game.

In addition to the standard implants, special "pirate" implant sets provide additional abilities plus attribute improvements.
Halo implants are a set which originate from the Angel Cartel. Like other pirate implant sets, the completed set increases the strength of their secondary abilities. The Halo set reduces the signature radius of all ships flown by the pilot.

The lower grade version of the set has a +2 attribute modifier (versus the +3 modifier of the High Grade variant), as well as a smaller reduction in signature radius. The upside to the low grade variants are greater availability and lower cost.

Slave implants are a set which originate from Sansha's Nation. Like other pirate implant sets, the completed set increases the strength of their secondary abilities. The Slave set increases the hitpoints of all ships flown by the pilot.

Snake implants are a set which originate from the Serpentis Corporation. Like other pirate implant sets, the completed set increases the strength of their secondary abilities. Snake implants also carry a bonus to improve your chances of smuggling contraband goods. The Snake set reduces increases the maximum velocity of all ships flown by the pilot.

Crystal implants are a set which originate from the Guristas Pirates. Like other pirate implant sets, the completed set increases the strength of their secondary abilities. The Crystal set increases the effects of shield boosters of all ships flown by the pilot, regenerating considerably more health per cycle than is gained without these implants.

Talisman implants are a set which originate from the Blood Raider Covenant. Like other pirate implant sets, the completed set increases the strength of their secondary abilities. The Talisman set reduces the cycle time of energy neutralizers and energy vampire modules.

Skill hardwiring implants are also available in EVE. They boost various skills to give you the edge in combat or increased speed to elude your enemy.

How to get and use implants
Acquiring implants can be quite difficult as their main source is through agent rewards and rare loot drops. Storyline agents occasionally give them out as a reward, you can also buy some implants from the various loyalty point stores around the EVE universe.
Each character can hold up to 10 different implants. Five slots are reserved for the various attribute implants, and the rest are for hardwiring implants. To be able to plug in your implant you will also need the Science skill and the Cybernetics skill.
Implants sold on the market tend to be quite expensive and rare due to the limited supply available.
